Soho SO-KTL03 - Maintaining the device

First-time use:

• Boil water once and discard it to ensure that you kettle is clean inside
• Wipe to exterior with a damp cloth

Daily maintenance:

• Always unplug and cool before cleaning
• Wipe body wit damp cloth - avoid harsh chemicals
• Descale regularly (See descaling)

Removal of Mineral Deposits:

• To maintain optimal performance, your kettle should be descaled regurlaly. Mineral deposists from tap water can build up on the heating plate, reducing efficiency.
• You may use a commercially available descaler and follow the manufacturer's instructions, or you can use white vinegar as a natural alternative (See descaling).

Descaling:

1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar. Add water until the liquid covers the bottom surface of the kettle.
2. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight to break down the mineral buildup.
3. In the morning, discard the solution.
4. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring it to a boil, and discard the water. Repeat 2-3 times to completely remove any vinegar odor.
5. If there are any remaining stains, gently wipe them away with a damp cloth.
